Zeynab Koroma

Zeynab Koroma: Founder & CEO, immigrated from Senegal in 2011. She became the first Miss Senegal Washington State in 2012. She represented Senegal at the Northwest African Queen pageant that same year, the Miss Africa USA in August 2015, and at the Miss United Nations in 2016. Known to most as ‘Boss Lady Z’, Zeynab leveraged her global pageant experience to establish The Miss Africa Washington Pageant. An activist and humanitarian, Zeynab is using her ‘pageant lady’ experience, visibility and respect to bring African communities together, in part, to discuss topics that are usually taboo. Her personal focus is increasing awareness of problems that impact children and women, such as FGM- female genital mutilation, Domestic Violence, Depression and Early Childhood Marriage.

Zeynab is currently majoring in Nursing at Bellevue College. She also volunteers as a secretary at The Urban Financial Coalition Services-Puget Sound Chapter.
